Family and friends have been worried about all these riots that are happening here in London the last couple of days. Luckily, none of those riots are, or have been, happening in the area I live in, so to everyone who’s wondering – I am safe. However it has all been happening so very fast and in several locations. Even in central London. I was supposed to have my internship today, but it got cancelled because no one knows what could happen and if we would be able to get home or not…
I’m following the news on the internet and I just hope that this will stop soon. I can’t understand what’s wrong with these people. How can it just spread like that? First there was a riot in tottenham and all of a sudden it’s all over London. Apparently, a riot is happening at Liverpool street at this very moment :/
Now over to a brighter subject:
Remember the interview I wrote about on sunday? I got the job! And I started working yesterday. Of course, I still want to keep the internship, so I will try to go there the days I don’t have work. So let’s see how that goes…
The first day at the job was fun. I started with handing out free samples of coffee on the street and got a lot of positive response from people. After that I got to learn a bit about how things work at starbucks, how to grind the coffee beans etc. In the end of the day I learnt how to make coffee! The different drinks that I got to make was Latte, cappuccino, black/white americano and frappuccino. It was really fun! What’s ironic though is that I don’t like coffee myself.. Haha
